ARCHITECTURE OF CLOTHING

Founded in 2009 by Polish designer Andrzej Krzysztof Pytel, Krzysztof, formerly known as House of Ezis is a designer bridal and evening wear brand recognised for its classical couture, radical design and intricate tailoring. Andrzej’s background in architecture has greatly influenced the brand, introducing a new aesthetic to the landscape of Australian luxury fashion industry.

Andrzej began his formal design education in 1996 with a focus on architecture and urban design. The understanding of form and function coupled with the unique properties of different fabrics has resulted in the signature drapes seen in his designs. This multidisciplinary approach, combined with the appreciation for philosophy and the design process, has shaped the brand into what it is today.

The origin of the name 'EZIS’ came from the beginning of this journey, a menswear label initially called ‘SIZE’. As the collection expanded and evolved over the years, the idea of size was reimagined and reversed as the diversity of female form took the spotlight. The vision for the atelier is to create a perfect fit that is tailored to a woman’s individual measurements and preferences.

Each KRZYSZTOF gown is custom made-to-measure in our Brisbane studio with the collaboration of local designers and makers. The use of high-quality fabrics sourced from Korea, Japan and Europe ensures the quality and durability of every gown. At KRZYSZTOF, our focus on material sustainability, ethical production and manufacturing transparency allows women to express their individuality and feel confidently empowered by wearing a garment that is truly unique to them.

The atelier currently houses over 150 designs that can be tried on and customised by private appointment only.
